Meet Ellen

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of buying or selling a home. Ellen wants people to find a home they love and not have to stress over the details; it’s her passion to make that happen!

Ellen McGregor White has been an active member of the Waco community for over 35 years. After graduating from Baylor with a degree in Economics, Ellen became very active with volunteering in her community. She participated in many organizations such as Keep Waco Beautiful and Junior League just to name a few, before becoming the Head Coach of the Baylor Equestrian team. Ellen built a first-class facility and during her tenure as head coach, the team quickly rose to one of the top in the country. Under her leadership, the Baylor Equestrian team won a National Championship and three Big 12 Titles; they were ranked No. 1 in the nation when she retired.

Ellen has since turned her talents toward the real estate industry, joining Camille Johnson, Realtors in October of 2017. She knows that hard work and quality are the key to seamless transactions and satisfied buyers and sellers. She is an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church and has held a leadership position in Bible Study Fellowship for many years. She currently serves on the Boards for Southern Trinity Groundwater Association, REACH, Christian Women's Job Corp, and Oakwood Cemetery.  Ellen and her husband Greg, a Baylor law professor,  raised two daughters in the Waco area and are proud to still call McLennan County home.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

"

I don’t remember exactly when my wife and I decided to possibly move to the Waco area. I believe it was last fall maybe. My first meeting with Ellen happened without my wife, Michelle, she was at a girls weekend in Waco. I stayed at the White’s carriage house on their beautiful horse ranch that weekend.

From my very first introduction to Ellen that morning as we began to look at properties in the area, I knew that Ellen was the right person for Michelle and I to eventually find a home in the Waco area. It took us a while, but though the whole process as we would make our way from Midland to Waco to look at various homes Ellen was always with us every step. She kept sending us homes to look at that met our criteria. She would communicate periodically to see where we were in the process.

What we liked best about her. She’s extremely personable, without being pushy. She knows the Waco and surrounding area market. She suggested areas we might like and gently guided us away from some areas that she felt probably wouldn’t work for us. We looked at homes in Woodway, Waco, Robinson, China Spring and Lorena. All within our price range. WE looked at some slightly higher than our range, but for the most part it was because we wanted to “look” at them. She is patient and she made us feel welcome as a soon to be part of a new community members. Her Baylor stories from her years as the equestrian coach there were fun also.

We enjoyed our time with Ellen and we’re kind of sad that we have ended our “house hunting”. Hopefully, we will see her around when we get to the area.

If you’re giving stars, Ellen is a 5 out of 5!
